DESCRIPTION:

Girl's Classes

  • Preballet (ages 2-5) - Specifically designed for the development of ballet technique and movement skills in young children. Exercises focus on flexibility, coordination, balance, posture and listening skills. Children are introduced to ballet terminology through games and imaginative role play.
  • Ballet/Tap - A great combination class. Ballet is the basis to all movement therefore the technical training is taught through ballet. Tap is used to develop rhythm and coordination.
  • Classical Ballet - For the more serious ballet student, this class includes barre, floor stretches, across the floor activities and center combinations, based on the teachings of Royal Academy of Dance,
  • Jazz/ Hip Hop - Fast paced fun movements are taught to upbeat music. An excellent workout.
  • Gymnastics - For the acrobat. Learn gymnastics technique in this enjoyable class.
  • Drama Workshop - A 3 hour workshop of singing, dancing and acting, This class prepares students for a theatrical production at the end of the year.

Women's Classes

  • Yoga - Focus on acheiving relaxation through postures, stretches and breathing.
  • Prenatal Yoga - A gentle, modified yoga class specifically designed for the needs of expectant women. Ease the discomforts of pregnancy and prepare for an easier labor and delivery.
  • Pilates - A series of low impact total-body movements that focus core-strengthening.
  • Aerobics - Fun filled and upbeat aerobics class appropriate for all levels of fitness. Get moving, get energized, get fit! Intermingled with resistance training.
  • Cardio Middle Eastern - Learn Middle Eastern dance technique in this fun and enjoyable class. This class works on muscle conditioning and development of cardiovascular abilities.
  • Israeli Folk Dancing - Challenging and enjoyable. Learn steps that are put together to form a chain of beautiful dances.
  • Simcha Dancing- Get up to date on the latest Simcha dances.

Boy's Classes

  • Creative Movement (Ages 2-5) - This class is specifically designed for the development of movement skills in young children. Fun musical activities are used to develop coordination, balance, posture and rhythm. The exercises place an emphasis on large motor skills, physicial conditioning and flexibility, listening skills. This class includes basic gymnastics activities.
  • Kickboxing (ages 8& up) - A fun and enjoyable aerobic workout for boys. Works on muscle conditioning and development of cardiovascular strength. Taught by a fun, male instructor.

Required Attire:
Ballet & Lyrical classes- Ballet slippers, leotard, tights, skirt (optional), hair up
Tap classes- Tap shoes, leotard or pants
Hip Hop classes- Jazz shoes, pants, t-shirt
Yoga- comfortable clothes, a yoga mat

*Dance clothing is available for purchase through our studio or at any local retail store.
